The Village Manager is employed by the Village Council and serves as the administration head of the municipal government, subject to the direction and supervision of the Village Council. The Village Manager is chosen on the basis of executive and administrative qualifications; need not be a resident of the Village and holds office at the pleasure of the Village Council.
Christine M. Thrower-Skinner is currently the Village Manager. A South Florida resident for more than 35 years, Christine began her career with the Village on June 1, 2015. She spent nearly 30 years in local government and non-profit administration, serving nearly 10 years with the City of West Palm Beach as Director of Parks, Recreation and Strategic Planning before joining the Village. She has a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Penn State University. She lives in Delray Beach with her husband, son and two lab-mix rescued dogs. “The Village of Golf is such a special place. It is my privilege and honor to serve this community."
