The Village of Golf has specific rules that govern minor construction projects.

Minor construction projects include repairs and minor renovations to existing structures.  If your project calls for more extensive work, please consult the documents for a Major Construction project.  If you have any questions, please contact the Village.

A general construction moratorium is imposed from the Fall to the Spring seasons.  The Moratorium includes but is not limited to utilities, streets, sodding, heavy landscaping, pruning with a chain saw, and the use of heavy equipment or the production of loud noises is prohibited, except to the extent that such construction activity is deemed necessary for emergency repair in the interest of health and safety, and approved by the Village Manager.

Permissible construction dates are set by the Village Council.  Exact dates are set each year by the Village Council but Village Code prohibits construction before April 1st.  It is the responsibility of the property owner, their contractors and agents to be aware of the exact dates and to plan accordingly.  Work is generally prohibited on Sundays and holidays.

Permissible construction times are also set by the Village Council and generally run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday excludinh holidays.  It is the responsibility of the submitting party to be aware of specific date and time restrictions.  Plans for new residences are placed for public view and comments in the Council Chambers prior to presentation to the Village Council.

For the complete packet of minor construction documents, please contact the Village Clerk.
