Water Treatment Plant Improvement, Water Distribution, and Wastewater Collection Improvements Project.
Construction of upgrades and improvements to the Village of Golf Water Treatment Plant, water distribution system, and wastewater collection system are financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The CWSRF and DWSRF programs are administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) with joint funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the State of Florida. CWSRF and DWSRF programs operate around the country to provide states and communities the resources necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects our valuable water resources nationwide.
This project will modernize and strengthen critical water and wastewater infrastructure, improving system reliability, safety, and long-term sustainability. It will provide water quality benefits, including enhanced protection of drinking water sources, reduced risk of wastewater overflows, improved treatment efficiency, and increased system resilience during emergencies and power outages.
